Sisters in the Circle

EDDIESHA JOHNSON IS DOING BIG THINGS

Known as "E.C.", Eddiesha Johnson is a 35 year (young) Delaware native who graduated in Jan2011 from Wilmington University.  EC completed with a 3.8 G.P.A. This determined sister also attended Widener where she obtained her associates as a paralegal in 2005.

E.C. has been employed with the State Of Delaware since 2005 as a Judicial Processor.  Oh, did I mention that she is going back to school in 9/11 to obtain a double major.  Wheh, how to keep up with her :).

I asked E.C. what motivates her to keep going through and still manage to raise three children single handedly.  She informed me that she wants them to know that you must have structure and being a single parent it can't be done without education.

E.C. stated that she loves all children and wants to help encourage others to stay motivated.  Ms. Johnson spoke about her being rebellious  as a child and thinking that she could take control of everything.   She says that children who are hopeless need to know that there is hope.  They don't have to stay in the box and there is a way out.

WILDEST DREAM

When asked about her wildest dream she stated that all children be advanced with structure, stability, unification, and educated.  One of her desires is to open a developement center for teens that are beginning to get into trouble; no record but on the road. A place to teach the job skills, out of the box thinking, and give them things that  they normally don't experience.  She believes that they need more choices and it will open them up to receiving and accepting their worth.  E.C. wants to do the will of GOD. She says she refuses to sit and that her life has meaning and purpose.

OUTREACH

E.C. volunteers as a C .A.S.A : Court Appointed Support Advocate!  Previous Youth worker at Tabernacle F.G.B.C (Wilm DE)!    Mentor for CTAC! Certified Child Abuse Investigator.

E.C. is interested in the african american community of changing the "old way" of thinking. She believes that if we educate the parent we HELP the child.  She says that old remedys do work but still could use a little updating.
